Ark: Survival Ascended delayed on Xbox again due to "unexpected issues"

It seems Ark: Survival Ascended, which had just been given a brief delay, has now been delayed a little longer for Xbox players.

It's a turbulent time for Ark: Survival Ascended, which has suffered several delays for its console release. Its latest brief delay has now been slightly extended, with the game now expected to arrive for Xbox early next week.

A quick rundown: an initial delay for Ark: Survival Ascended was followed by a surprise PC launch and a second delay for consoles, at which point Studio Wildcard explained it would be staggering the console release with an Xbox launch first. At the time, the game was set to come to Xbox on November 14. Earlier this week, however, Studio Wildcard announced a brief delay with the game's Xbox release being pushed back due to it still "going through the certification process." Ark: Survival Ascended was then expected to arrive later this week.

Now, however, just a few days after that update, Studio Wildcard has confirmed that the game is now coming to Xbox early next week. "Unfortunately, the certification process has yielded some unexpected issues, so we are working with Microsoft to resubmit the build as soon as possible," Studio Wildcard says. "We're currently targeting Ark: Survival Ascended to launch early next week." The team adds that they'll share a "more precise update" by the end of this week, adding, "we apologize for the added delay; we're working hard to get it out the door."

The PlayStation release, which had been pushed back to the end of November when Studio Wildcard decided to stagger the console release, is still on track.

"We know you've been looking forward to ASA, and we're sorry to keep our console survivors waiting," Studio Wildcard concludes.
