    This should be done on the first island.
    Create a camp and don't put any coins in archers.
    You can put coins to grow the camp but keep in mind you cannot attack any greed or kill any animal (rabbit or deers)
    So basically you have to hang around until the achievement pops up, without attacking anything at all. You can go gather the chests with coins, that will help increase your income. Also the merchant will provide coins every day (don't forget to keep at least one coin to dispatch him and comes again on the next night).
    Wander around until it pops up. I was able to get it when the moon started going up in the sky on the fourth day.

    Reaun da crayonI'm not sure if this was possible before, but you cannot do this on the first island, as it makes you buy two archers in the very beginning before the monarch ghost will leave; you can't progress without listening to him. The best chance you have is to go to the second island without any archers. That could prove difficult seeing as you have no control over what the npcs do, so the best option is to sail right after building the boat, you'll have the builders that helped you and that's enough to start the second island, just save up gold for the trip and build walls and the

    space monkey vThis is correct. What you have to do is pay off the Greed for 4 nights. So the key is to be wise with your money so you have enough each night.

    There are 3 sources of money.
    - The free coins provided at the beginning of the game.
    - Three chests across the stage
    - The merchant each morning

    There are only 3 things you should spend money on
    - Three coins to start camp.
    - One coin to merchant each day.
    - Greed at night.

    Additional points.
    - Don't waste money on walls, they won't hold, cheaper to pay off Greed.
    - Yes this can be done on the first island. Just select to skip the tutorial at the start.
    - Don't get all three chests the first day. You might get too many coins to hold, overflow and lose them.
    - Don't worry about dying. I died on my first try and it started me back at day 1. However there are a lot less Greed each night on the second play after dying. So it was a lot cheaper to pay off. Actually made it easier.

    UncouthSquid816Also important to add you need to do the tutorial once and then restart the same save file to be able to skip the tutorial. This gave me quite a headache cause it wasn't mentioned

    FaSCoRPthe tutorial has nothing to do with the objective.

    BTW: the game was patched so many times, some successfully, some don't that it is not strange to unlock it in "other ways" that the originally mentioned

    GLd Lord Dover*can be combined with "On the Third Day":
    SKIP THE GHOST TUTORIAL BY HOLDING A BEFORE MOVING!
    Collect coins at the camp, without spending any at all.
    Go in either direction to collect Coin Chests (I noticed 3 were all on one side), without spilling any coins (collect only when needed).
    Stay anywhere within running/stamina distance from one of the Greed portals at the end of either side.
    Drop coins whenever those Greed appear.
    CAN COMPLETELY IGNORE THE OTHER HALF OF THE GREED, as they turn harmless once the new day starts (you will notice them running even faster towards their nearest portal, which will be the one near where you are camping).
    I spent only 2 gold on Greed each of the first 2 or 3 days.
    Then On the Third Day I went and spent 3 gold to make camp for that achievement.
    I just got the By the Fifth Day achievement and I have a full gold purse left over while heading back to camp with a merchant waiting to give me more gold.
    Hope this helps (a boring 20 minute achievement, but meh)
