Death Stranding Director's Cut delivers a challenging list of Xbox achievements

After shadow-dropping onto Xbox Series X|S earlier today, we can now reveal the Death Stranding: Director's Cut Xbox achievements.

Xbox players can now start unpacking the Death Stranding Director's Cut achievements! The stealthy action-adventure game shadow dropped on Xbox earlier today, and after a slight delay, the Death Stranding Director's Cut Xbox achievements have finally been delivered, revealing what you'll need to do for its 1,000 Gamerscore.

It's been exactly five years since Death Stranding launched as a PlayStation exclusive, but now Xbox Series X|S players can finally get in on the action via the improved and expanded Director's Cut version. In Death Stranding: Director's Cut, an event known as the Death Stranding has opened a doorway between realities, causing mysteries and deadly monsters from the afterlife to roam the fallen world of the living. Playing as porter Sam Bridges, it is up to you to reconnect survivors and deliver hope across a fractured America.

The Director's Cut version, which is playable on both Xbox Series X|S and PC, includes a few extra features and additions over the original, including a high frame rate mode, photo mode, and ultrawide monitor support. You'll also find a couple of new missions to complete and crossover content from the worlds of Half-Life and Cyberpunk 2077.

As for the achievements, if you played the Windows version of Death Stranding (which has now sadly been delisted), you'll know what to expect. You're going to have to find loads of collectibles for the Fount of Knowledge achievement, complete 20 unique premium deliveries with a 'Legend of Legends' evaluation or better, upgrade all structures, connect all UCA facilities, and reach the maximum connection with all facilities. To top it all off, there is a platinum-style achievement for unlocking all other achievements. It's a tough old list that will take between 80 and 100 hours to finish.

Interestingly, Kojima Productions has confirmed that it now has full ownership of the Death Stranding IP. This could mean that the sequel Death Stranding 2, which was announced for PS5 back in 2022, may also come to Xbox in the future. Fingers crossed!

Death Stranding has been a huge hit on PlayStation consoles, so it's great to see Xbox finally take delivery of the stealthy action-adventure game. Who knows? It could end up occupying a spot on our list of the best Xbox Series X|S games.
