We also have a release date, and we will step back into the Doom Slayer's boots on Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Game Pass on May 15.Set on a planet caught in a medieval war with the forces of Hell, acting as a prequel to the fantastic Doom (2016). Once again, the Doom Slayer sets out on a mission to obliterate Hell's forces, and this time he'll be conducting his business with a suite of new skills, as well as a gigantic Atlan mech and a damn Cyberdragon! The team said this entry will see us "stand and fight" against the enemy and is outfitting us with a new melee and parry system to go head-to-head with a host of new enemies. We'll have three melee weapons to wield alongside our Shield Saw: Iron Flail, Electrified Gauntlet, and Dual-Spiked Mace, as well as plenty of juicy firearms for additional carnage. The team is also reworking the Glory Kill system, which will now be un-synched, allowing us to carve through enemies while feeling "unstoppable." In this entry, we'll travel to the "far reaches of the Doom universe" to explore ancient hellscapes, battlefields, dungeons, dark forests, and more. Doom: The Dark Ages looks like it could be an awesome Xbox first-person shooter. What did you think of the new gameplay? Excited to get slaying? Drop down below and let us know!
