Elden Ring Nightreign release date revealed

  • Elden Ring Nightreign launches on May 30, 2025
  • The Deluxe Edition is now available to pre-order
  • Platforms: Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One
Announced during The Game Awards 2024, Elden Ring Nightrein is a standalone co-op action survival game where you will pick from one of eight Nightfarers, each of which has their own abilities. Then, either solo or with two other pals, you will battle against all sorts of challenging bosses and survive a three day-and-night cycle.

On an ever-changing map where biomes, weapons, and enemies can fluctuate, you will be forced to make split-second decisions regarding combat and exploration, all while trying to become stronger and outrun a circle of fire that closes in on the world. At the end of each day, you will take on terrifying bosses, but if you survive the third day, you will go up against one of the dreaded Nightlords.

For those interested, the Elden Ring Nightrein Deluxe Edition is now available to preorder on the Xbox store for $54.99 / £47.99 / €54.99 and includes "additional DLC," additional playable characters and bosses, and a digital artbook and mini soundtrack.

A co-op action survival game is definitely a compelling spin on Elden Ring, and it will be interesting to see how it lands with players. What are your thoughts on FromSoftware switching up the formula of one of the best Xbox games? Let us know down in the comments.
