In an announcement post on LinkedIn (via VGC), Holmes says: “It’s been an exciting few months… I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as IP Director of Far Cry at Ubisoft! We have big things in store. Don’t hesitate to reach out if you want to be a part of the next evolution of this great brand!”

As for the "big things in store," reports earlier this year suggested that Ubisoft is currently working on Far Cry 7, a mainline single-player entry, as well as a standalone multiplayer game set in the Alaskan Wilderness. Both games supposedly have an internal deadline of 2025.

If you haven't got around to playing it yet, Far Cry 5 is available alongside some of the best games on Game Pass for Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One.
