Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 1 & 2 Remastered features over 80 Xbox achievements

Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 1 & 2 Remastered launches next week, and we can now reveal the Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 1 & 2 Remastered Xbox achievements.

The Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 1 & 2 Remastered Xbox achievements are now live ahead of the long-awaited remaster's Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One release on December 10. For those looking to earn the full 1,000 Gamerscore from the Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 1 & 2 Remastered achievements, you will need to master both Xbox action-adventure games in the collection.

Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 1 & 2 Remastered Xbox achievements revealed

In total, Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 1 & 2 Remastered has 83 Xbox achievements to unlock, 36 of which are secret achievements
Achievements are split between both games — Soul Reaver has 54 achievements, whereas Soul Reaver 2 has 29
Unlike some other Aspyr remasters, Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 1 & 2 Remastered does not have a PlayStation platinum-trophy equivalent

Developed by Crystal Dynamics, Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver launched way back in 1999 for PlayStation and PC and quickly became a cult classic. In the dark fantasy action adventure, you play as Raziel, a vampire who was executed and then resurrected to take revenge on his murderer and former master, Kain. Soul Reaver 2, again developed by Crystal Dynamics, followed in 2001 and sees Raziel learn more about his past and destiny. Both games are excellent, and now, with the help of developer Aspyr, Xbox fans will be able to play Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 1 & 2 Remastered on December 10.

Much like Aspyr's previous work with Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered, Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 1 & 2 Remastered features improved graphics and a toggle that allows you to switch between high-fidelity visuals and the visuals from the original games. Aspyr has also added a modern control scheme, improved camera controls, a map and compass for better navigation, and a day and night cycle that was cut from Soul Reaver.

As for the Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 1 & 2 Remastered achievements, the list looks straightforward for the most part. That being said, there are some interesting achievements here. In Soul Reaver, you'll need to make sure you don't get hit by Kain in the first encounter for the Unconscionable achievement.

In Soul Reaver 2, you'll also need to kill fire demons "within 1 minute at the Pillars during the Sarafan era" for the Inferno achievement, kill three sorceresses in a row without being hurt for What Sorcery Is This?!, solve the Janos' Aerie final interior puzzle within 15 minutes for Vertical Rush, and beat the game in under six hours for Vampire Champion.

Thankfully, Aspyr has decided against including a PlayStation platinum-equivalent achievement with Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 1 & 2 Remastered.

Aspyr has been pumping out remasters of classic games in recent months and has two more on the docket. January brings a remaster of Star Wars Episode I: Jedi Power Battles, and in February, we're getting Tomb Raider 4-6 Remastered.
