Little Nightmares 3 Xbox release date pushed back as game suffers delay

Little Nightmares fans will need to wait a bit longer for the next game in the series, as Little Nightmares 3 has been delayed and will now launch next year.

We have a bit more of a wait before we can start unlocking the Little Nightmares III achievements, as Little Nightmares 3 has been delayed and will now launch for Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One in 2025.

Little Nightmares 3 comes to Xbox in 2025

"Ever since the announcement of Little Nightmares III at Gamescom last year, we've been thrilled to see our community buzzing with excitement and anticipation. The teams at Supermassive Games and Bandai Namco Europe have been working hard towards delivering the best experience possible for the next entry in the franchise," the Little Nightmares team says.

"As much as we can't wait for you to return to the Nowhere, we also want to make sure we give the game the care and love it deserves. Quality is a top priority for us, and we know you feel the same way. For this reason, we've made the decision to shift the release of the game to 2025. We'll be sharing more about Little Nightmares III later this summer, so please bear with us and look forward to further updates. In the meantime, we'd like to thank you for your patience and ongoing support."

It will be good to hear more about Little Nightmares 3 this summer — for now, we know that the third game centers on Low and Alone, who are stuck in the Spiral and are looking for a way out of the Nowhere. According to Bandai Namco, the Spiral is "a cluster of disturbing places" and Low and Alone "will have to work together to survive in a dangerous world full of delusions and escape the grasp of an even greater threat lurking in the shadows." Little Nightmares 3 will let you play with online co-op or together with an "AI companion."

While we wait to hear more about Little Nightmares 3, we still have Little Nightmares 2 to work through, which aside from its horror and adventure elements is also one of the best Xbox platformers.
