1 guideOnline/Offline - These achievements can be obtained in either an online or offline game mode.Single Player - These achievements can be obtained by a single player.Versus - These achievements can be obtained by two or more players in a face off gamemode who have met the achievement requirements.Cumulative + - These achievements are obtained by repeatedly performing the same action or set of actions over time.Time Consuming - These achievements require at least 20 hours of play time to obtain.

How to unlock the Master Engineer achievement

    Actions
    This achievement should be done after other achievements and/or whilst you leave your console on. It is noted that the usual exploit of adjusting the consoles date/time while playing the game does not affect the progress of this achievement so you just need to play/idle 150 hours on the game. This can be in creative or survival or a scenario. Only requirements is that you're not in the main menu.

    A Useful hint is that if you plug in a mouse and keyboard the game will continue playing without the controller meaning you don't need to worry about the controller disconnecting and pausing the game halting the progress to the achievement.

    rutunkI recently started playing again after taking a break for 7 months. I hadn't gotten this one when I took the break.
    It seems that some update in between the beginning of may, and middle of desember reset all progress in this achievement, so I got to start this one all over again :)

    lethelerroryes it appears patches reset the clock or its not very accurate at counting total play time

    SargeCassidy XBI would also add that you want to do this on a "fresh" or at least a non-demanding world, as framerate DOES affect the clock's speed. I originally idled on the map used for 1000 drones destroyed which was so taxing the framerate dropped to 20FPS and the time during that counted less than actually flew by.
