    Although PhyrexianZ's methods will work, I believe I have found a solution that is not dependent on greed spawn nor waiting for nighttime for them to attack.

    TL;DR --> clear an island so no more greed spawns and sit in front of the dock greed portal monster and let it knock your crown off. Rinse & repeat 299 more times.

    You should also do this with 2 controllers as this will give you progress for 2 crowns every time.
    I cannot confirm this method of boosting 2 crowns but worth a try!

    First, we will need to have cleared an island (destroying the greed mountain core with the bomb) so that no more greed will spawn on that island. This can be accomplished on any island but you will need to have at least reached the 4th island. A quick review of how to clear an island:
    -reach the 4th island by continuously repairing the boat on islands 1, 2 then 3
    -purchase the steel/iron/refinery
    -upgrade camp to the max where you'll get an option to purchase the bomb
    -escort the bomb to the mountain cave past all the portals (opposite of the dock side)
    -pay 5 coins to enter cave and escort bomb to the core
    -pay another 5 coins and escape the cave --> done

    Secondly, you must not have cleared the monster on the dock. Again, this can be done on any island so if you've already destroyed that monster on one island, check any of the other 4 islands.

    Lastly, once an island is cleared and you can now reach the dock without running into further greed, you can start the farming process by moving in front of the monster (without any coins on your person) and let it knock off your crown. Keep retrieving your crown and run back to the monster. Voila!

    CheshireMulishaThumbs up from me. Definitely the quickest/easiest method. Although still a slog as it'll still take at least 10 in game days even with this method (gives me something to do during winter at least) what a stupid achievement!

    AngryMannequinnIn norse lands on a completed island with a second controller, I used Loki's staff to turn into a greed and attacked myself. I had a completed file already so it took under 30 minutes for me to get this.

    Hello everyone, I have two methods to do this achievement.

    1st Method - Safe and slow

    This can be done during your normal playthrough. On the greed attacks during the nights, DROP ALL YOUR COINS in front town hall and put your horse just as the king appears out the wall, so the greeds can knock your crown off and it will drop INSIDE your wall. Just pick it up and come back for another punch. Depends on how strong are your defenses you can do this 3-5 times per night, taking 80-100 days to get the achievement. To complete the game you normally take 130-200 days.

    Be careful not to run too much into the attacking greeds as they can back jump at you and knock your crown to the field, leading to a most certain steal. Take this position early to get used to. DO NOT do this during blood moons or retaliations when most of the times you have to manage your defenses (using bear and dragon, building fire barrels, dropping coins, etc).

    2nd Method - Risky and fast

    Start a new game and build your town quickly, raise your walls, archers, payoff the merchant, etc. The objective is to get at island 3 asap and pay the mine to enter stone age, this because wood walls are too weak taking greed attacks after day 10. You can try to force this at island 1, I didn't manage it. So as you fast your pace to get to the next island, you can start doing the method.

    At the middle of the day DROP ALL YOUR COINS in town and go the portal (any side), the objective is to encounter the greed as they are coming to your town. If don't encounter any, just wait half screen from the their portal (at island 1 this will be the dock or the cliff portal). Now as soon you see one coming (or exiting a portal) stop and let it knock your crown off, quickly run, get it back, stop and let him knock off again. Keep doing this running towards your town until you get inside or the night ends (the greed back off). You can do this 8-12 times per night, taking 30-40 days to get the achievement.

    It's risky because you can get your crown stolen by the greed, loosing a lot of time. To prevent this you can connect a second controller into a split screen coop and keep the second king in town, so if you loose your crown it can be bought back.

    Be careful as when the greed knock the crown sometimes it will drop far away and sometimes very near, the game go on slow screen when it happens so pay attention and act quickly.

    You just need one greed to do this, so in later nights when a lot come sometimes two or three stay over each other, if they jump together one will knock the crown while the other can jump in front of you taking the crown. So you can bring 1 or 2 coins to send those bastards away.

    Also for the method #2, perhaps it will be a good idea to have the griffon, since the other mounts tend to need breathe easily and perhaps you cannot catch up with the crown at enough speed.
    Anyway, I think this cheevo is stupid, mostly because it does not require skill at all, just a ton of wasted time. It would be better to happen around 50, just for funny purposes

    It can be done during the normal playthrough, as it'll take about 100 days and to complete the game you need a lot more. Watch out for blood moon and retaliation, as they need a lot more management.
