Poll: Will you stay an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate member after the price increase? Microsoft has made many changes to Game Pass and increased its price, so for this week's poll, we want to know: will you stay an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate member after the price increase?Tom West Published 13 Jul 2024 FollowtopicsXbox Game PassTom West It's been a confusing week for Game Pass subscribers and anyone considering picking up a subscription to access some of the best Game Pass games. Much of the confusion surrounds the upcoming Game Pass Standard tier, which seems to replace the current Game Pass Console tier, but Microsoft is also upping the price of all of its Xbox Game Pass tiers. Are you sticking with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate? This week, Microsoft increased the price of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate from $16.99 / £12.99 to $19.99 / £14.99 a month for new members, while the price for new PC Game Pass members has jumped from $9.99 / 7.99 to $11.99 / £9.99 monthly. Xbox Game Pass Core will now cost $74.99 / £55.99 a year for new members. While these changes have already gone into effect for new members, it looks as though existing members will move over to the new prices in September. While Xbox Game Pass Ultimate retains all of its current features, including access to Microsoft's first-party games on day one, Perks, EA Play, and more, the new Game Pass standard tier ($14.99 a month) will lose access to day one games. With Activision Blizzard, Bethesda, and a host of other developers now under Microsoft's umbrella, losing access to their games on day one could be enough to push many players to subscribe to the Ultimate Game pass tier, but for an additional $5 a month, that could be a bitter pill to swallow for some players. In light of the changes, we want to know: will you stay an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate member after the price increase?
