I completely understand why Plumbers Don't Wear Ties: Definitive Edition is often labeled one of the worst games in history. From a gameplay perspective, it has aged incredibly poorly. However, what surprised me the most is how well the humor holds up—it’s bizarre, absurd, and oddly in tune with modern meme culture. In a strange way, the game feels like it was unintentionally ahead of its time in terms of its comedic style.

There’s a quirky charm to its randomness that gave me a few genuine laughs. Whether it’s the absurd decision to cover actors’ private parts with a giant face and cartoonish nose or random images of dogs paired with silly music, the humor feels like something you’d stumble upon in 2024 internet memes. It’s so bad that it’s good in certain moments, making the experience feel more like watching a train wreck that you just can’t look away from.

At the same time, the game’s pacing is all over the place. While it’s short overall, some sections feel unnecessarily dragged out and boring, which makes the funnier moments feel fewer and far between. Despite this inconsistency, I didn’t walk away hating the game. In fact, I feel a bit unique for being able to appreciate its sheer absurdity without outright loving or despising it.

Ultimately, Plumbers Don't Wear Ties: Definitive Edition is a fascinating oddity in gaming history. It’s certainly not good, but it’s not entirely without value either. If you approach it with the right mindset—expecting to laugh at its ridiculousness rather than take it seriously—you might even have some fun. For that reason, I think a 5/10 rating is fair. It’s below average, but there’s still entertainment to be found in its chaotic and unintentionally comedic presentation.
