The Brumak is encountered toward the end of Act 1 Chapter 6: Into the Fire.

As the fight starts your squad of 4 is split by the sides. I recommend to take out the machine guns off the Brumak as it limits its attack pattern to simply stomp and missile barrage.
Try your best to essentially keep the Brumak in the middle and chip the health down. You get a checkpoint about halfway towards his health bar.

As you destroy the tanks on his back there will be Emergence Holes. That pop up with wretches. Take them out quickly so they dont cause any issues.

I did notice in my play. I popped the Piñata achievement As well. So if you havent popped this yet. This could be a solid and easy opportunity. As that achievement requires to kill 1 single unit with iy taking damage from all your units in one mission.
(Sorry im new to formatting so im unsure how to add the Piñata link and to writing guides. Apologies if i missed anything. And please do encourage tips. Thanks for reading)

DirtybyteYou did a great job at explaining how it take him down. This was a not easy fight at all.

ErutaercAlso worth adding, the missiles will always hit before any other enemy action, so if any grubs/wretches are in the red circles, leave them alone, the missiles will take them out. You get a checkpoint after destroying the first two tanks, not just half way through.

Taking out the guns as you said should absolutely be the highest priority, his movement range is tiny so once they're down, you can basically breeze the rest of the fight, providing you stay a good distance away (roughly two movement actions).

KingTenClubsJust wanted to add some additional tips here for anyone struggling with the encounter, especially on higher difficulties.

1.) Top priority is staying out of stomping distance; before taking your turn ensure you prioritize this and aren't tempted to push your luck close-in.

2.) The most common way to fail the fight in my experience is to rush it by over-aggressive positioning & taking greedy shots at the tank early in the fight. You'll end up getting stomped and will be out of position when the Locust arrive.

3.) As the original guide states, part of #2 above means focusing on the arm cannons first, which will greatly broaden your positioning options later in the fight as you no longer have to worry about even being in cover as long as you're out of stomp distance.

4.) E-holes: do not put yourself at risk with exposed positioning just to close an e-hole (see tip #1). If you are within 1 movement point of an emerging one and can plant a grenade, great! But if not, it's not worth the downstream second-order negative effects that will arise if you mis-prioritize these.

5.) Avoid the corner areas where you can get boxed-in. There are 2 trap areas on the map that look very inviting due to the amount of cover options they provide; however, the game loves to spawn e-holes in these areas which will cause Wretch melee damage and eventual stomping, virtually guaranteed. Stick to the main "rectangle" that spans the center area of the map.

6.) As the fight goes on, I tend to collapse my positioning between the split 2-man squads to get them a little closer together to give me more options for angles of fire. In the early stages of the fight, though, I found keeping the squads at polar opposite sides to be more effective.

7.) When in doubt, be less aggressive, and prioritize positioning (and healing, if necessary).

TheGreatKoalaIt does work on jack's campaign so don't listen to anyone who says it doesn't.

Don't waste time going after the guns, your only priority on your turns should be attacking the tanks and turning him round every shot, and avoiding his missiles.

It will be a much harder battle if you intentionally take much longer to kill it
