How to unlock the Tricks Didn't Help Ya achievement

    Actions
    The Apex Killer Whale fight is unlocked once you complete all the side quests in the Caviar Key region. When it's unlocked you can find the Orca in the Sea World-esque pool in the middle of the region.

    Depending on your evolutions, this is possibly the toughest Apex fight. The Orca is level 40 and has really high health, and there aren't many other animals to eat to regain your health.

    In the fight, it's key to stay out of the orca's jaws. Use RB to dodge as the orca lunges at you, and attack from the bottom and sides when possible. Use the Y button to activate evolution when the orca is open to attack. Use LB to tail whip and stun the orca, then bite 2-3 times immediately after before evading. Below is my fight with the Apex Orca.

    AlterPred+1 I would just add that the fight can be triggered when you are in the sewer tunnels near the pool and the Orca will pursue you into the tunnels making the fight much harder if you do not move forward to engage it in the open pool.

    JamieChestertonFought and beat this apex but didn't receive the achievement for it but received the one for killing all the apexs so achievement might be bugged for some.

    InphernoI had all the achievements disappeared for me on this game when I killed the whale for some reason. Came back to the game after an hour or so and it popped when loading. Probably a server issue since it was a couple hours before the time LUKASSLOVESBEER posted.

    Ryan D StimoBest way i found to kill it is to stay at the entrance to the area on the bottom left to the battle. The orca wont come through and when it does it turns around. Making it very easy to get away to heal up or to simply get easy hits.

    Eos CreonGreat tip, get the whale outside of the arena, through the whole on the outside left, and he WILL NOT attack you. Just popped the achievement this way, after struggling a bit.

    Pigdog5Jump up onto the stage area, the orca will get close to the edge and you can tail whip it a few times, jump back into the water and then repeat the first step

    jokerNL070Killed it in sewers with Electric bite and body. Stun the guy all the time and since in the sewer he cant go anywhere its all your game. I do have trouble with the last apex
