Hello fellow gamers!
LSK here with another review. Dynasty Warriors: Origins is the 11th install to the series and in my opinion one of the best to date so far. I will go over three things about the game in my experience. I have over 100 hours when writing this guide meaning a lot into what this game has to offer so without further ado let's dive in.
OverviewThe theme to this game seems to be you versus 1000 soldiers and oh man it does no disappoint. This game does a very good job at large scale battles and makes you feel epic when jumping into them as well. The replay ability is a lot in this game with the money you pay for it is well worth it as you will dive in at least around 100 hours to get all the achievements in this game. This game has a lot of new mechanics to the series like an overview map you explore in between battles in which I absolutly love in being able to see open up as you progress the story. It also brings back some old stuff from past games like being able to have guards with you which I honestly enjoy a lot.
These are just a few of the things as I don't want to spoil to much for you so if you want to know more then dive into the game!
StoryThe game has 5 Chapters with tons of battles in each chapter. Some of the classic factions you see are the Yellow Turbans, Dong Zhou forces, Lu Bu forces and of course Wei, Wu and Shu.
This game does a very good job at making the game historical as you progress through the game seeing cutscenes that explain what is going on during that time period.
The big difference in this game as you are not playing as one officer from whatever faction but a lone survivor who lost his memories called Ziluan. As you make your way through the story you meet all the classic warriors from the Dynasty Warriors series and since this is an Origins game, seeing them join the factions you know the will soon be with which is a cool thing to experience if you have played many of these games in the past. You are able to choose which factions eventually to follow and sticking through them to the end of the game.
Once you beat the game with one faction there is a way to go back in the timeline to play as any of the other factions as well as finding new ways to change fate of officers unlocking the true endings of the factions!
AchievementsThe achievements in this game is a long one which will take around 100 hours to get them all. Like all classic Dynasty Warriors game you will literally need to 100% everything in the game getting all weapons, horses, accessories, peace to all regions, all requests, all missions and all training. Good thing you will have to play all three factions anyway as you should get majority of the achievements doing them.
You also have to play on a new difficulty called Ultimate Warrior which you unlock beating the game with one faction. I would advise once you are leveled up enough just playing on it going forward as you need to replay battles on that difficulty to unlock certain things to make progress to getting everything anyway.
Overall the achievements aren't to bad with how much this game has to offer and might be little grinding towards the end after completing all three factions stories.
ConclusionThis game is a gem to the series and hope the developer going forward keeps this momentum as for myself being a long time fan was great coming back to this series after not so many games recently that was release in this series did not get my interest. Hope you love this game as much as I did playing it and let's see what the future holds for the series.
Until then stay safe fellow gamers & Love others as yourself!
