Walkthrough Addition

    Hey all,
I wanted to write a little post that would aid people just starting the game post Definitive Edition (DE) update, as the walkthrough on TA was written before this update and it changes most things about the collectables in this game. That being said, the walkthrough is fantastic (shout-out LifeExpectancy) and you should still follow it. Here is my thoughts on what is different now though.

    - First off, I thought this game was mid to bad. Clunky/boring combat, very disinteresting story, limited enemy variations. Every combat encounter is the same, really. There's really no redeeming quality to this game. But you're a dirty dog and you want that Gamerscore/TA ratio just like I did, so you'll probably play it anyway.

    - Before the DE update I think that there were exactly the amount of collectables you needed. IE, 80 prismatic core in the game total. So you had to collect every one of each one. Now with the DE update, there are excess of all collectables (other than audio logs) so much less of an emphasis on being perfect.

    - No need to worry about prismatic cores and health boosters. I had 97 cores and 35 ish health boosters by the time I finished the DE update for the game.

    - There are a few extra hardware pickups in Lonely Basin, the Cradle, and the Starving Sea. Perhaps 10-20 more than the achievement requires. So you have to be throughout, but not perfect.

-There are a ton extra hardware pickups in Shifting Sands now. With the addition of the sandstorm mechanic, there are now a large excess of these pickups. By the way, once you complete the main story, you can idle your character in shifting sands, and wait for a sandstorm to occur. Once it occurs, you can fast travel away, fast travel back to shifting sands, and you'll now have access to many more supply crates, cores, hardware pickups, and the four new dungeons.

-There are also extra blueprints now in the game, but I was too sloppy with my collecting of them and needed to grind hunting challenges and dungeons for the supply crates I missed out on the first go around. This is the collectable to really be mindful of throughout the game I'd say. The tracker for blueprints also kinda doesn't work. It requires a full restart of the game for THE CHANCE for it to update. I went back and forth between my series S and my One S and Everytime I switched consoles it would update for me.

-WORK ON THE HUNTING CHALLENGES ASAP. You don't want to be like me and having to spend a few hours post game doing hunting challenges for blueprints if you don't need to. You'll run into enough of the 5 enemy types in the game lol.

-I would head to the renegade vault as soon as you have the ability in order to unlock the tank companion. Why? Because you can ride the tank, and it has a pretty fast boost. This will speed up your transversal of the rest of the game exponentially. The fastest way to move without it is a ground level dash, a quick small jump, then another dash.

-The pet armour actually makes a big difference. I struggled hard with the making it up Eden Tower until I realized my spider bot was in default blueprints. Make sure you get one of your campaigns a full set to get the set bonus and you can probably just use that the whole game.

I think that's all I wanted to add. I wanted to write this up because there's very little info about certain updates made with the DE update to the game, so I thought it compile what I learned for the next guy or gal. PEACE! :)
