Always good to have a page like this, my mind was on the big hitters, Gears, Fable, Avowed, I'd forgotten about Project Mara and Routine, seems to be a lot of good stuff in the works.

Outer Worlds 2 is releasing on Playstation. XBOX's "exclusivity" is a joke. Eventually all of these games will be on Playstation anyway.

Came here to say this. OW2 is definitely no longer exclusive, and based on people that have sources inside Xbox the idea of Xbox exclusive games (at least first party ones) is coming to a complete end. Seems strange to want to kill their own console, but Microsoft usually fucks up their products (often by making a good change, but making it before the consumers/industry are ready to consider it a good change).

And all of the Xbox Studio games will be on PlayStation 5/6 after this generation ends there’s no reason to not go PC or PlayStation and get the Sony games plus Microsoft games on one platform.

So did PlayStation, the only exclusive PlayStation advertise for 2025, is Ghost of Yotei. Death Stranding 2 is no longer exclusive, as Kojima now owns the IP not Sony

With only 1 exclusive per year, PlayStation can easily be ignored vs 9 from Xbox even if only temporary exclusive.

2023, Spiderman 2 vs Hi Fi Rush, Pentiment, Redfall, Forza Motorsport, Starfield
2024 Astro Bot vs Hellblade 2, COD, Flight Sim, Stalker 2, Indiana Jones
2025 Ghost of Yotei vs see above.

PlayStation has become more of a joke and pointless.
    PS4 for the players
    PS5 for the payers.
Buying:Physical discs leads to profits, Digital games leads to bankruptcy. I will not support digital fully until we can trade digital games

Next Xbox is said to get Steam app, and if Sony releases their games on Steam, then the odd PS exclusive will be playable on Xbox via Steam, so we will only need Xbox console. No need for a PC or a PlayStation, just Xbox console, for everything.

Yeah but it’s important to take into account a lot of third party devs that are skipping Xbox which is a worse sign in my opinion. No Stellar Blade, No Black Myth Wukong, No Silent Hill 2, No Helldivers, No Final Fantasy, and the list goes on and on. Though I will admit third party support has been way better than the last generation so I give credit where credits due.

The Outer Worlds 2 left it very clear. I don't trust 50% of that list remain xbox / pc exclusive.
I can't afford 2 consoles so next generation I'll buy the one with more games, regardless or them being 1st or 3rd party. If MS keeps publishing on PS on higher rate than Sony on Xbox, I'll buy a PlayStation

Or build a PC to get everything, including Nintendo games via emulation

Sony or Nintendo will never give their games to Xbox and PC (in Nintendo's case), so it's impossible to call this change a good one.
This will only decrease Xbox's already small player base, therefore reducing any tiny chances on Sony and Nintendo potential ports (as well as 3rd parties, like the ones that made Stellar Blade, WuKong and SH2)

You can have the same emulation on an Xbox right now.

Via crutches that one day may be banned? No thanks, I trust PC in that regard a bit more

That's what most people will be doing and having Steam on Xbox consoles won't do anything to change that. The Xbox brand is already pretty much gone from retail over here and will become a ball and chain to what MS wants to do with their gaming business.
MS wants everything to be an Xbox, but that's not what people associate with the brand.
What they want quite simply won't work and the poor reaction to their recent marketing proves it. MS/Xbox needs to make it clear, either be a console platform with some stuff on the side, or a third party publisher under a different name. They can't be both over the long term.
For me, the way forward after this gen (that I haven't even bought yet), is PC.

No "crutches" , whatever that means.

And zero chance of getting banned. They've allowed it for several years now.

Exclusivity isn't a thing anymore. There is no point writing articled on it or disscussing it. It's meaningless and out of date.

Something tells me that 33 Immortals will benefit from cross play and staggered release on each platform (so XBox, then PS in a year, PC 6 months after that) just to keep a healthy sized playerbase active.
