As far as I'm concerned, there was Gears and Gears 2. The rest can go the way of Star Trek: Discovery.

Nothing TC made was even remotely on the level of the original trilogy. Not sure how anyone could recommend 5 after the most recent Rod Fergusson interview. E-day has the potential to be great but TC have shown they cannot create a compelling story or characters. So we'll likely get another middling at best gears story that'll end up on PS as well.
I completely agree. The Coalition butchered Gears of War story wise. What is this Rod Ferguson interview you're talking about? I'm really curious to watch it

He explains they were waiting to see who everyone picked and pull the data to make a decision on the ending. After that article I'm pretty glad they chose not to finish that story until after some others are told and he chose to leave.
Oh wow that's ridiculous! You'd think they'd want to tell the best story possible not just "let the players decide" especially when they don't even know they're deciding lol also the data would be skewed anyway as anyone who played it twice to see the other ending would just have their choices cancel eachother out

Thank you for the link by the way!
