Sneak past the steam pipes without taking any damage

Noticed a couple of people have managed this one and was just looking for a bit of guidance.

Guessing it has to be done on Trenches during the Cairo levels?

There's 5 pipes in total, 2 set in crawl spaces and then a 5th along a hanging mantle. I could seemingly get in and out of the first crawl space where the enemy spawns and you shoot the turret from behind

The 2nd crawl space to get the access code, could get past he first steam pipe fine bit the 2nd, no chance. Down time seems like 2 seconds and just could not get past it undamaged. Eventually gave up and called it for the night last night before coming back today and just finishing up Cairo.

Hey I got this not long ago, yeah it was in Trenches. You just need to not take damage from the crawl space ones, once I cleared the section involving them and left that last tunnel, it popped before I even got close to the 5th one.

For the second set, I recall utilizing rolling to get through them no damage

Actually whilst I'm here, when did "Finish Cairo chapter" and "All Secrets in Cairo" pop for you? I just got done with that whole area and these didn't pop. I'd understand if I missed a secret, but not even the one for just clearing that chapter didn't pop.

Would you be able to elaborate on the roll utilisation?

I would back up enough so that when I did my roll, it would be just right after the first pipe but not close to the second. Crawl up to the second then roll. Repeat for when going back. This is referring to the second set, for the first set of pipes I just crawled

I KNEW I had to be missing something. Some kind of tech or speedrunning technique perhaps. I just don't play on modern controls so didn't even think about the crouch roll for that control scheme, play tank so thank you.

Yeah, make sure your control scheme is set to modern to allow for rolling when crouched. Tap Rb to enter crouch the B to roll. Then tap Rb again to get off all four back into a seated crouch and allow you to roll with B again.

Edit: You can do it in tank holding LT and tapping RT. Fml
