I don’t do much gaming anymore due to my wrist but I have an appointment end of the month to get it looked at and hopefully drained. Nothing beats the feeling of unlocking a trophy or an achievement, I’m eager to recover and get back to where I left off.
If draining doesn't work out the way you hope it will, look into alternative and accessible controller options. Xbox is, to my understanding, one of the better platforms for that. I had looked at switches to switch sticks and larger, lap-or-table based controllers because of my neurological problems.

Ultimately, in my case, I have good enough use of my hands that just skipping games I can't handle is a wiser choice for me. Still, I've found some useful workarounds. Some games can be played with just one hand (Visual Novel Ord, possibly grossout title McPixel 3, Coffee Talk series except for a few achievemnts), and some games support mouse and keyboard (Minecraft springs to mind). Honestly, a lot of the visual novel category might be accessible to you one-handed.

It's rough being an older game at a transitionary point in your life. I'm 36 and on my second career, and I'm actually on the cusp of transferring from one store to another later this week. It can be incredibly lonely. But there are more of us out there than anyone realizes, and most of us are decent folks. I'm here if you need an ear. Have fun!

Hi. Names David I live in central Oregon. I'm a 37-year-old gamer and I have tons of fun playing games. I play a little of everything. I am always buying games and never enough time to play. I don't really have any friends that play video games so kind of getting on here to maybe find some people to play coop and boost with. I have tons of 360 Xbox one / series x games I would like to get through or help out with. I've always had like 5 games I like the most so after beating them I would make a new account and just play them again and again so sticking with this account for good, getting older and less time to play and back log is full. Friday and Saturday nights after I put the kids down to sleep is when I get to play the most. always looking for people to play with or talk games with. hit me up on Xbox or TA Thanks.

Hi all! I'm John from the UK. Originally of the 360 but left Xbox behind for the PS4 era, had a bit of a renaissance with an Xbox One X in 2021 and since moved fully over to a Series X last year. Loving having the old (fairly unimpressive) account active and grabbing achievements whilst blasting through games where I can.
Hoping to get involved with chats or some game time here, hit me with an add on Xbox. It's great seeing other people on the friends list and what they're playing/up to achievement wise! I'll try to work my way back up this thread and drop a few adds.
    Thanks!

    Yo!

I'm more of casual gamer. Not as competitive as I was in my adolescence. I create clips from my backlog and hunt achievements. Always down to shoot the breeze so holler. My three fav games all time are GTA IV, Guitar Hero II and Smackdown vs. Raw 2011.

Hello. I love hunting achievements and have been at it for a long time. Feel free to add me as a friend, and maybe we can work together to get some achievements, or we can just be friends.
Owning this temporary flesh, I kept a promise.

Hi. I have been using this site to get tips for a couple of years now. It wasn't until today when I wanted to post a reply that I realised you could be a member....sigh. My age may be the explanation. I'm 51 and not really interested in social media. I've been gaming since I was 11 or 12. It was the electronic tennis game. A digital ball you would hit from one side of the screen to the other. Then it was Atari games and on to the commodore 64 to play I think was leap frog and paper boy. I may be wrong. My memory is not the best with those games.
I then didn't play any games untill Super Mario came out on the Nintendo. I was hooked. Been out a few years now and then, with children and work responsibilities. My partner let's me play games while she reads books. We only watch tv when we eat our dinner. I'm a full time gamer as I can't work. I am loving it though. Gaming has evolved so much. It keeps me going. My mind that is, my heart belongs to my partner.

Hi all. Danish bloke, mid-40s. Game store owner, and been a gamer since I was like 8. Started with a NES, moved on to C64 and Amiga, then PC.

Only relatively recently got an Xbox, but as I tend to fall into an MMO regularly, the achievement hunting has been a challenge to really get going.

However, recently I've decided to play more games the way I used to, and try to get more 100% completed games. It's all a part of a longer mental health process, really. With MMOs you never really get the "I've finished this project" feeling, and I think I've been missing that for a while.

I tend to play all sorts of games except shovelware. I like RPGs, metroidvanias (like the SW Jedi games or Control, not 2d platformers) and "walking simulators" for when I just want to chill and hear a good story. I also do a bit of shooters and FIFA/EA FC... and other genres, I'm really not that picky :P
