Well Avowed is a great addition. And will carry the month on its own

I bet one or two smaller additions will also be announced and that will be it
    Quality over quantity.
Provided Avowed isn't riddled with bugs...of course
Nowadays every free roam game is riddled with bugs. It's part of the package,

As long as it is in the playing state, I am happy

    Yep. *intense Starfield flashbacks*
Starfield was released in a surprisingly polished state. By far the least buggy of any Bethesda title to date. Of course, if you had actually played the game for more than an hour (looks at your gamer tag) ...
I didnt really have a good experience at the time but now it seems to be in a much better condition after all the patches.
Even The Great Circle is riddled with bugs and texture popping. But it's in playable state and is a wonderful game

This article literally says "for February." Diablo dropped in January.

Unfortunately this mentality is what has been hammered into many, playing games with low expectations and being happy about it.

Bugs are very much a thing of the present and future... there was a time when a game shipped complete because there were no opportunities for updates, however this perhaps is going back beyond 25years (or very close to then)

I own both PS and Xbox (newly xbox. Just came back and playing on Xbox a lot more this week) and can safely say even with January's releases being sort of "eh" they are still miles better than most of what PS has put out on their comparable service for the last year. PS either gives you games that most already own (God of War Rag this upcoming release. But most got it buying the console or bought it day one.. and its also been super cheap on sales.) or decades old games that add no value to the service.

It's hard to complain with the value proposition of GP. It's already more games than I could feasibly keep up with. That said, lately it feels like the games I actually want to play, and the ones my friend group is playing, are all excluded from the service. Often excluded from the Xbox ecosystem entirely. More and more I'm drifting towards PC, Switch, and Playstation. I love Xbox and have spent two decades investing in it's ecosystem, but it may be time for me to part ways. I don't really agree with the direction the leadership seems to want to take it.
I'd definitely do PC and not another console that gives even less value for membership fees. GP is actually worth it.. can't say the same about my stacked years of PS extra lol

In the past, I popped a cartridge into an Atari 2600. No bugs. smile
