You're the one that can't seperate them. The CEO had an opinion about an issue, as he's allowed to do. Blaming the company is a you problem laugh
Not exactly. The CEO is a representative for the company, he speaks for the company. By supporting that issue it was seen as the company supports the issue as well. Employees and company partners were not happy. Many fans of their games were not happy either and spoke out that they refused to purchase anymore games by them. This made shareholders unhappy, so he is no longer CEO. It has nothing to do with being able to separate anything.
It was HIS opinion, at no point did he say it was that of the company. So yes, it does have to do with people not being able to seperate politics and gaming. The gaming aspect had no part of this, but the usual intolerant Liberals decided to bring the two together and tear down everything he was associated with for having a different view than themselves.

For the record I do not agree with his statement -- just find it ridiculous people will punish a company because an individual had an opinion.

Not sure why you think I'm unable to separate the politics when I'm against Tripwire for ousting their CEO because of something he said off the clock and on a personal account. That's exactly why I don't support Tripwire.

I really don't care what the dude says if it's on his time and not a company statement. Giving in to the nonsensical cancel culture is the real problem.

Well, even if it's on a personal level, people stopped supporting Tripwire so he won't earn their money. So it's definetly not wrong to stop spending money on the whole company. Of course all other employees are also affected by this, but then the pressure to get him out of they way is even bigger.
I don't know what he is supporting and I'm not living in Texas, but people like him don't belong on a representative place of work. As a good representative, you should know where the line between business and private mind is

Wasn't it on his personal Twitter account though? I don't agree with his opinion, but he should be allowed to express it. But I guess at the same time, people are allowed to boycott because of said opinion as well.

I'm out the loop what's up with Tripwire
Their former CEO tweeted his support for a very controversial Texas anti-abortion bill, which caused a lot of backlash against the company and some of their partners to end contracts with them.
This is great and justifies me having bought this game at release MSRP. I’ll have to finally give it a go.

Are you seriously considering boycotting a video game because a CEO expressed a certain opinion you don't agree with? Grow up dude. The fact that you're still holding onto this is the sad part. If every CEO tweeted out their politics you would probably boycott all of them.

I don't understand people that saying Maneater is fun, All I can see is a super boring game like Feeding Frenzy but in 3D with only better graphics.
Are there some people that can have fun playing Maneater as like they're playing a real fun game like AC Odyssey for example?
I can't even play it for 30min without being bored.
I wish someday I can have enough money to escape from Islamic Nuclear program country of fucking Iran

If the CEO should be allowed to tweet his opinion then OP should be able to not buy their games. Simple as that. The irony is you're trying to control OPs actions lol.

OT: is the game a doable completion I actually didn't dive in as I heard there were glitchy achievements but may give it a go if it's still completable.

Funny, I found AC Odyssey to be extremely boring compared to the other AC games. Maneater was fun because you’re not playing the everyday character and got to do basically whatever you wanted AS A SHARK

Then maybe it's only me. I wish I could refund Maneater but I bought it on a sale for $9.99 among some other titles and I forgot about it for 2 months and I don't think Microsoft allowing refunds after 2 months of buying even if you don't actually playing it.

Maybe I'm too old for this but despite of +17 rating of game, its feels like a game for teens. if it was in phones, I could picture myself playing it in bus or something on the go but sitting in front of TV and wasting time for eating some fish is not that I call fun.

I remember the beginning of the game was a little slow because you were basically running from alligators until you could take them on. After that point it was kinda like AC meets Crackdown underwater.

No the difference is this person wants the CEOs life ruined because he expressed an opinion on a law. Fuck those type of people and they are one of the main reasons for a decaying society. People like that are why cancel culture exits. I think you're forgetting what OP said.
