Giant Leap for Humankind Stuck at 99%

Walked on a moon planet and watched progress go up to 99% however it stopped there and the achievement will not unlock.

I tried reloading my save and that didn't work... however after closing the game entirely and relaunching it I loaded the save again and the achievement popped after a few more steps.
