    Going to have to suck it up and buy some of these 360 titles before the store closes.
    These games will all still be available after the 360 store closes. It's only things trapped on the old 360 marketplace that will go.
    Are there any good recommendations for old 360 marketplace games? I have FOMO but I'm not even sure what Out I will be Missing
    Any specific genre you like?
    In my opinion of the ones that are not backwards compatible(the ones that will truly be gone when the store closes)
    Charlie murder
    Both the dishwashers games
    The South Park tower defense game
    Street fighter 3 3rd strike online
    Final exam
    Are all solid picks

    And if you want gamerscore stacks:
    Resident evil 0 1 and 4
    The book of unwritten tales 2
    Goosebumps the game
    Strider
    Mighty no 9
    Some users here on TA opened a thread and wrote an excel file with all the 360 stuff that won't be available after the shutdown (including dlcs/title updates etc) but i can't find it anymore

    use TA for a full list to see for yourself,
    gaming -> xbox games, then use the following filters:
    platform -> xbox 360 (no back compat)
    availability -> listed only
    distribution -> digital only

    also consider dlc for both physical and digital non-bc games. filters:
    platform -> xbox 360 (no back compat)
    availability -> listed only
    distribution -> (all)
    has dlc -> any

    im a resident evil fan so i recommend re 0,1, and 4.
    (re 4 has a disc version but needs a japanese 360 console to play.)
    Thanks so much for this, totally didn't think about this feature on the site. Only downside I suppose is that it won't show 0 gamerscore DLC.

    RE4 Japanese physical I believe has Japanese text only as well if I remember correctly. (The voice acting is in English though.)

    Whichever you can get for cheaper. It really wasn't remastered much. Achievements are the same.
    got it, ill prolly just grab the remastered version. also, should i grab that american nightmare game as well? is it canon?
    Bear in mind the Remastered version includes the DLC, you'd have to buy it seperately if you got the 360 version.

    American Nightmare isn't essential, only get it if you really like the combat.

    But do we know for certain games bought for XOSX or XSXS will work on X360 after the X360 store closes. This would mean if you want to play with someone else in your household (or double box) you won’t be able to.

    If they are on your Download History (under Account) for the 360, you can download and play them freely, according to Microsoft.

    From the closure announcement:

    This change will not affect your ability to play Xbox 360 games or DLC you have already purchased. Xbox 360 game content previously purchased will still be available to play , not only the Xbox 360 console but also Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S devices via backward compatibility.

    What has not changed is our commitment to preserving your ability to play the content you have already purchased on your preferred device, which means we are committed to supporting Xbox 360 gameplay for the foreseeable future – and you will still be able to play and re-download previously purchased content and connect with friends.

    That only tells you how it works now (previously/already purchased), not what will happen after the X360 store closes.

    It will be impossible to make a purchase from the X360 store, so it will not be in your download history either. The only way it will work is if they keep the X360 store running but delist all the content. I did not get that impression.

    In other words if you buy a BC game/DLC the day before the store closes you can play it on X360 while a friend plays it on XOSX or XSXS. If you buy it the day after the store closes you will not be able to play that game/DLC on X360.

    That's true. I wouldn't be surprised if it didn't appear in the 360 Download History. For example, forwards-compatible Rock Band DLC will not appear on the 360 Download History if purchased on the One or Series systems already now. So, it was always recommended to purchase songs on the 360 to get both versions.

    So there is an advantage for Johnny Sinister to buy BC games now rather than after the store has closed.

    Ridiculous price, even the lowest price ever @ $21.24 is crazy for a game that old.
    Don't get me wrong though, the game is friggin awesome!

    Good is subjective of course, but if you care about series of games, here are a few series that will lose games: South Park, Batman and Syberia .

    Syberia 1 is already delisted, but Syberia 2 is still available on the Xbox store. After the store is shutdown, you’ll still be able to buy Syberia 2 on the PC for cheap though. However, I’m not sure if you can get the two South Park games anywhere else, and same goes for the Batman game.

    There is something going on with TA’s link to the Xbox store. Recently, a few games I had on my “price watch” list have gone on sale, but TA hasn’t automatically notified me as TA has lost its link to the price in my country (Canada).

    Currently, two Oddworld games are on sale, but for one of them TA says that the “Price is unavailable in your country.” even though the game is still available to purchase in Canada from the Xbox store. The same thing happened with the “Steve Jackson” game.

    I’m sure there are other games where this has happened but I’ll leave that to TA to find out.
