Use this thread to suggest games for us to play as a community. If you’ve got a moment you should definitely rate us on iTunes! It’s free and we’d really like to expand TA Playlist as far as we can. Your review will do just that!

Just as a suggestion, maybe make the playlist up of some of the better weekly sale offers from Microsoft (the 18 month+ old games that appear at sub $10 on occasion), I recently bought both Metro's, Dishonoured and Deus Ex for less than $25 so they would seem to make good playlist games to vote on as I would assume a number of other members would have also seen and took up the offers?

Also maybe put some of the gold games up? Ryse, Watchdogs... Most people on the site will have gold membership (We are all gamer's with achievements in mind after all) so again there may be a bigger community uptake joining to play these.

My other suggestion would be to include some of the older games that have multiplayer achievements so that we can build enough interested players to knock these out. I know that I have a number of older/cheaper games where the online community seems to be almost non existent or only have a group of true hard-core players where you can't even gain a foothold in attempting to get the online achievements (Tomb Raider - definitive edition for instance). At the moment I would love to see something like ACIV: Black Flag... I can play the campaign but am so weak in the multiplayer that the only way I will ever complete the game is through boosting.

My perfect playlist up to the end of the year would be
    ACIV Black Flag
    Far Cry 4
    Ryse: Son Of Rome,
    Just Cause 3
    Dying Light

I don't want to give too many suggestions as I've had much more fun playing games I've never started vs something I've played before. I really like the options we've had for games so far. I'm always a fan of having a theme but I know that can be hard month after month. I liked the E3 theme and I'm really looking forward to October.

The only game I really want to see is Alien Isolation, I don't think enough people know how awesome this game is.

You can't go forever without including them at some point but I'm surprised to two biggest Xbox exclusive franchises have never been on the list, Halo and Gears of War. Both have single player and MP, so they seem like a good fit.

First, my suggestion. We've already discussed this and I'm almost certain it's already in the works. Just in case it is not, I think we need to choose between the runner up games so far. I'm glad I played Alan Wake, but I was really looking for Dishonored to be the inaugural TA Playlist game. I'd like to see it have a second chance.

I like Apple. I got my PC start on an Apple II. I am not exclusive to Apple but I have a MacBook Pro, an iPad, an iPod, and an iPhone and like them all. But iTunes sucks (IMHO)--it's a bad store and a worse media player. I try to use it as little as possible. I find that Mixer, YouTube, and TA's imbedded media are much better venues to enjoy TA's multimedia content.

Every fifth month is planned to be Second Chance month, starting with August. That poll will be up on the 15th.

Alien Isolation has long been locked in among the October horror games too.

As for iTunes, you can rate and review us or any podcast right within their podcast app. You don't need to install iTunes or even use it. Subscribing and rating us via Apple's podcast app/iTunes is, perhaps unfortunately, the most effective means of helping the show grow beyond TA only -- that and word of mouth. smile

Great! I'd thought it was a done deal. I just didn't know the specifics. Thanks for the info.

Okay. I do have iTunes installed and, although I do everything in my power to avoid it as much as possible, occasionally, I have to use it. So, I will bite the bullet and give the TA Podcasts the recommendations they so justly deserve.

Sorry for the Apple rant. Apple designs some of the most elegant hardware and some of the most inelegant software (IMHO). Apple is a very successful company so I am in no position to denigrate them. I remember, though, when the Apple II was the preeminent gaming platform giving us games like the original Castle Wolfenstein, Ultima, Wizardry, and Wasteland. Today, Apple is just an afterthought when it comes to games. Slow, awkward, unsophisticated, spaghetti clumps of software like iTunes are a painful reminder that Apple's successes in other areas have come at the price of what I enjoyed most.

Thanks! I hope I was clear that you don't need to use iTunes if you have an iPhone or iPod Touch. Accessing the Apple podcast app can also get you to the rate/review section. This is how I do it for shows I like. I just want people to know how easy it is, haha. Some still won't or can't but don't let iTunes scare you away! laugh

I have both an iPhone and an iPod and will use the podcast app to rate the TA podcasts. I think I'm like the majority of Apple consumers. I can't resist buying Apple products but some of their policy and technical decisions irritate me to no end.

I'm not entirely ruling out Forza forever but right now the focus is on story games.

Concur with the focus being on story games--it provides more to discuss in the forums (IMHO).

+1 discussing Forza wouldn't be fun at all.

I'm playing Shadow of Mordor for the current TA Playlist which has been an amazing game that I'm enjoying a lot and didn't really like all that much the first time I played it, for some reason.

In regards to a suggestion for a future game, I'd like to see Rage up there sometime. Seems like a pretty good game with a post-apocalyptic story aesthetically not dissimilar to Mad Max.

Rage sounds like a good idea. Most months we figure it's best to include games that have plenty to talk about that maybe haven't been played by everyone.

    +1 from me.

Looks like a fun little hidden gem. Reminds me of a High-Tech Borderlands with the graphics.

I'm thinking about giving that a go one day regardless lol.
A simple bad habit will mar an otherwise flawless character, as a single ink drop soils the pure white page.

Maybe we should see some of the indie titles in this playlist maybe
    Grow up
    Gears of war series
Assassin creed unity (I know it is still bad but need multiplayer achievement)
Or even call of duty modern warfare series
    Zenosos

I'd like to see Red Dead Redemption on the list at some point... obviously a game a lot of people have already played, and a pretty sprawling open world, but Skyrim has been on the list already, so neither of those factors should disqualify it.

Borderlands also seems like a great game/franchise that would give us lots to discuss... I haven't played it much yet (just started it for the Bean Dive last week), but looks like fun.

I don't have a ton of suggestions... like HawkeyeBarry20 said above, I'd rather see games up there that I haven't played or don't know about, and I've been very happy with the lists you guys have come up with so far. Keep up the great work!

I'd like to see some shorter indie games make it in. I try to participate in these but I'm all over the place with my gaming so I'll probably pop the first few achievements this month and then move on to something else. A few ideas off the top of my head: Deadlight, Inside, Firewatch, Abzu. Games like that I might have a chance of completing in the month!

I'm up for some wacky themes like all games in a month must have dinosaurs, pirates, aliens etc.. in them or all if them must be in space, in the past/future stuff like that and yes I would also love an indie month. Really looking forward to Halloween month and interested what you are thinking about theming Christmas around.
