I like when enemies don't scale to your level, good deal.

Enemies don't scale? That's a breath of fresh air. So many recent RPGs have copied Elder Scrolls and tried to make every enemy scale to the player level. Even Fallout 4 and 76 adopted the flawed Oblivion level scaling. Just my personal tinfoil hat theory, but I think a huge part of Elden Ring's success is that it didn't just copy the same tired western action-RPG formula. It was a return to form and rightfully sits at the top of the ratings for the genre now.

Is this game good? I was quite excited to try this for a while but I'm hearing a lot of negativity on YouTube.

Most of what you'll find on YouTube is negativity. This is because the creators know that negativity gets more views and engagement than positivity. My advice, find a creator that seems to align with your game interests and stick with them. Ignore the ragebait, click bait etc.

I played for five hours last night and had fun and didn’t have any issues. Loving the 60 fps mode and running around casting spells and shooting enemies with a pistol simultaneously lol.

Can your advice be understood as you saying "find a creator who reinforces your bias and ignore creators who say otherwise" ? That's what it sounds like.
To answer ShadowNickz, most of the negativity I've seen is about ugly Starfield-like NPCs and comments from one of the lead designers that were openly discriminatory. It's up to you to research a bit if you want to make an educated purchase (unless you have Gamepass in which case you won't pay but you playing on GP means they will receive a compensation from Microsoft), try finding opinions on both sides (EDIT : just watched Kevduit's video, the combat looks good but it seems the difficulty is quite unforgiving if the enemy's level is even slightly above yours and I don't know if there's a NG+ but the hardest difficulty achievement might prove to be quite the task. Also you can't attack civilians and animals if they're not enemies/monsters so your RPG experience is not that free and I've seen comments calling the game "too hand-holdy" when it comes to quest and progression. This is just 1 youtuber out of thousands so again, see what people from all sides have to say) and make your consumer decision accordingly. I know I won't be playing mostly because Pirate Yakuza releases right after so I'll be busy with this game which I know for a fact I will enjoy.

just form your own opinion. you can't trust any reviewers anymore, especially some Youtuber who is dependent on getting the most clicks by being a negativity whiner.

And especially some Youtuber who depends on being on the studios' good books to make a big buck.

    Don’t forget fast travel

In my Avowed review, I talked about how this game is so wonderful to explore that I usually prefer to stomp about on foot. However, one big perk of Avowed’s fast travel system is that you can travel straight to a party camp, and then exit back to your last location.
I was thinking Path of the Damned was like Supernova in The Outer Worlds and that fast travel would be disabled.

Yeah unfortunately, people like to trash on Xbox so sometimes it's hard being an Xbox gamer.

Folks like saying "Journalists" aren't reviewing game correctly with good scores. It's turned around for YouTubers in general. If they have a history of crapping on games, whether good or bad, they'll continue to do so for the clicks. It's all a business. Watch the trailers, listen to what the say, and judge for yourself. In a couple years, 1 to 2 games will be best games ever and the rest will be crap according to the Internet.

Just like most RPGs I plan a minimum of 2 playthroughs.

The first playing casually trying to collect and see everything and exploring everywhere.

And then I'll put it on the hardest difficulty on the second playthrough.

Every RPG ever made is just "excellent" nowadays isn't it? If it isn't an RPG, it's not scoring higher than an eight.

I think BRPG (bias towards role-playing games) should be a medical condition at this point amongst game journos, especially here on TA.

I've learned pretty quickly that there's not enough time in the world to play every single one of these bloat-filled, exposition dump type of games - especially to completion. 20-30 hour games are more my thing. I take exception to Bethesda and perhaps Mass Effect because those games are more shooter than RPG.
