That's two months in a row that waiting a week brings an apt title for monthly targets on sale. This time it's Night in the Woods, which I got one achievement in while it was on game pass. As good an excuse as any to go back to it!

Love to see a load of games at a 95% discount!
Also just discovered you can hit the 'sale price' tab to make everything sort in order of price instead of alphabetically. Game changer.

Those Sherlock Holmes games for £1.77 each is a good deal. I remember Crimes & Punishments being decent.

Wow, handful of titles I'm gonna pick up here. Was not expecting this. Pretty good sale after what seemed like weeks of mediocrity.

    Don't I know it.

I was playing without a guide. A personal challenge was to get the treasure trove achievement without a guide. So, I scoured every inch of the game so as not to miss anything.

I did pretty well for the first three discs--when I got to the auction house it was empty indicating I had not missed any items. However, early in disc 4, I checked on the auction house and there were five items from offshore Numara. The fact that they showed up at the auction house meant that the area where they had been was no longer accessible.

Interestingly, at the time where I ended up at offshore Numara, I was not trying to advance the story. But I triggered the Numara sequence inadvertently.

It turned out that I should have picked them up in a ship mini-game. It didn't occur to me there would be items to pick up in the mini-game. Instead, I was laser focused on beating the time constraint. I didn't even know I'd missed them until they showed up in the auction house.

Had I stumbled across even one item in the mingame, I would have realized there were items in the sea. I would have reverted to a save file just to make sure I discovered all items. However, I was blissfully ignorant until I checked the auction house.

Fortunately, I got them easily in auction and didn't botch the achievement. Still, my goal had been to find all collectibles without a guide and, for my personal challenge, items picked up in the auction house didn't count. My failure irks me to this day.redface

I played WITH a guide and still missed one somewhere. It was then that I realized that not all achievements are worth it.

Those items were a cakewalk compared to Octopath Traveller but what beautiful time I had with both of those games.

I had a good amount of fun with it, but it's a little too long, I think.
