Xbox achievement system is dead

    Hi,

Why are there so much last gen games flagged with the:
"This game is known to be buggy; achievement progress may not track, and/or achievements might not unlock at all." WTF?!

Is the achievement system definitely broke?

The achievement system is "broke" in a way it regularly has issues with unlocking and ridiculously online reliant (so any internet or server issues can result in missing achievements). Those games are flagged for a different reason. When enough people report issues with unlocks for a title, way above the "normal" Xbox Network issues then the game gets this message box to avoid thousands of people spamming complaints everywhere.
This doesn't mean 99% of the users will have any problem or the devs didn't fix it since then. The flag may never be removed.

    Thank you,

So by flagging the game, TrueAchievements is actually complicit, just to avoid thousands of comlpaints everywhere?! Instead of pushing Microsoft to offer quality service, they are complicit in downgrade of quality, they are complicit in Xbox poor sales, complicit with the new plan of getting rid of the hardware and going all digital.
The website that is supposed to help achievements hunting is actually killing the achievement hunts lol, now it is just a tool for Microsoft to help them impose their agenda... sad.

    I really don't understand it...

As Microsoft is entering in a big game developement phase, leaving behind the hardware, this downfall could be completely orchestrated in order for us to buy all their game pass and sh** and forget about our beloved and reliable consoles. And if they don't even bother about achievements and offering quality experiences to their clients, if achievements are not a sale argument anymore, then what is the point?

Time to move to Sony I guess, or maybe focus more on really achieveing something, in real life.

Basically they want to butt-f**k us but don't want to hear about it lol.

Trueachievements can't do anything about the wise decisions Microsoft makes regarding to the Xbox brand. Phil Spencer and friends in their infinite wisdom are clearly ignoring basic issues the Xbox One / Series dashboard has since 2013. On the same vein the site can't do anything about Microsoft's disregard of all the Xbox App / Game Bar issues on Windows. Many users here are tirelessly working to contact developers in games and MS devs to get fixes out there or finding ways to reliably unlock "impossible" achievements. They do this for free. The TA community is not at fault for the failures of the MS higher ups.
All this website can do is trying to get fixes and workarounds by the help of the community. As things go lately the entire achievement ecosystem could go down the drain in the near future so it is up to you - or anyone - how much time and energy you want to invest in it.

You are right, I'm not blaming the TA community. I know there are lot of efforts made in order to keep things alive, the flagging system is a great example of that.

When I say they are complicit, it is in an involuntarily way.
It is sad that in an effort to help and bring people together, the site unwillingly highlights the flaws of MS even more. It might discourage people (at least myself) to invest time and money into something that is clearly on a downfall.

TA, developers, players, everybody is victim/complicit of the greedy MS plan. It is heartbreaking that by doing things with good intents, the TA website is "helping" MS to kill the Xbox console, It is a double-edged situation.

Nostalgia hit me hard, I didn't notice how close we are from a drastic change and it is kind of frustrating, I'm getting old, I need to take a step back and accept to let it go. It is like a relationship (18 years!), it hurts when it's over lol.
Thank you for your answer it helps to apprehend my future gaming experiences, the safe route might be "retro" gaming.
