User generated content, can it replace mainstream media TV

  • Posted on 27 March 15 at 17:46
    Hi,

Currently in my final year at University i am writing my dissertation about user generated content (like rooster teeth and many you tubers) and the future of media.

How far is user generated content replacing mainstream media consumption in Generation C

As the people i need to ask about this topic are "generation c" -- people that are passionate about content, creation, curation, and community
i am reaching out to you kind people if you are interested in the results of this topic.

    I have a questionnaire .. chameleon.typeform.com/to/k6TqmU ? please fill this in

and am preparing interviews, interviews ideally will be over Skype, but obviously if this makes anyone uncomfortable i don't mind if you don't want to do this. I would appreciate any kind of interview for some more in-depth opinions about what content you watch online and whether online media (such as youtube) has the potential to replace mainstream media such as TV.

If you are interested please post below and i can private message you any further details or post the questions below.

    Many thanks for your time
I really am interested in the results of this research and hope you will be too

I've moved this to the "Film and TV" Forum. You accidentally uncovered a bug in your original posting forum, so thanks for catching that smile

I think it's pretty interesting to see a question like this posted almost 10 years ago and look at how far created content has come. There are some created content that has rose to become shows on mainstream media.
