Xbox sale round-up December 24, 2024

    Since I started using price checking websites more, that's sadly incredibly common, games will go on sale on PC, Sony, and the Switch all the time, but never on Xbox. Or they might go on sale here, but be a lesser discount than other places.

    Being in last place really hurts in different ways I guess. Either they don't see it as worth it to put their games on sale because of the lower amount of Xbox owners, or Xbox really has a weird and bad way for devs to put their games on sale/s. I have no idea which.

    Anyone know if the gamepass exclusive sales listed are for any level of gamepass? Was thinking about using MS points to get a month of gamepass core for the Trials Rising deal but don't want to waste it if it's only for ultimate for example

    Picked up that Stubbs game, never played it on og xbox. On ebay that og xbox game goes between 10 euro for a disc only, and 300 for a collectors edition.

    It's probably the latter. I had a game called Silence on my wishlist for years and it never went on sale. So I asked the devs on Twitter and they said they'd love to but they couldn't because of Microsoft. They didn't elaborate as to why though.

    I recall right before the Xbox 360 store went down, the devs of The Dishwasher and Salt and Sanctuary and more said they asked MS to put their Xbox 360 games on sale weeks ago, but MS didn't do it until a week or so before the shutdown. Sounds like there might be a lot of BS bureaucracy in devs getting in contact with MS sometimes.

    I'll second both of those. Bought ender lilies last year and finished it, absolutely gorgeous art style, and it's a metroidvania. Looking forward to the second game releasing soon

    Actually bought Little Noah yesterday on this very recommendation and couldn't put it down, rouge-lite where you collect minions each run that you use to attack.

    Got the pack with the DLC for 1,50 more and it's an absolute game changer, both hugely recommended.

    If you can only pick one I'd go with Ender Lilies though.
