To avoid this problem in the future, maybe you should stick to playing Peppa Pig? laugh
    Oh no.

Another person that uses Xbox achievements to judge a person.

I am sorry that I let a kid play Peppa Pig on my Xbox.

How absolutely devastating that I let somebody enjoy a game!

    Grow up. Child.
Judging by your attitude and insults, Peppa Pig seems perfectly suited to your intellect!

Anyone that sees the comments you've been making on here will know that only one of us needs to grow up!
My only insult was calling you a child.

What I have posted here goes hand-in-hand with what reviews were saying about NV at the time.

However, the internet seems to have a love-in for Obsidian for some baffling reason, and thus there is no sense in being critical of them in any way.
So the reviews said that ALL obsidian games were on-the-rails "glitchfests"? No. Just no.

Like I said before, many of these games do have bugs which is due to the complexity of the games and they mostly get patched out. Look at the majority of big western RPGs - for example Skyrim, Cyberpunk, Witcher, etc all had plenty of bugs when released. It's an incredibly difficult genre to create and so many player-choices/possibilities to account for.

Many people love Obsidian games (and for good reason in my opinion). If you don't, then don't play them. There's plenty of games that I don't like (for example, Telltale games - if you want to talk about "on-the-rails" games with NO game-altering choices at all, Telltale hit the nail on the head every time imho) but I just ignore them instead of going out of my way to post a personal opinion on related articles that they're bad games as if it's fact.

Out of interest, what western RPGs do you enjoy?
I never said Obsidian made bad games.

I said that people get way too over-excited about Obsidian games and make them out to be something that they are not.

True fact: it’s not a thread on TrueAchievements if it doesn’t devolve into a bunch of manbabys arguing back and forth about the most trivial shit.

We need some sort of Reddit style karma points 😂

i was introduced to new vegas years ago, by my friend who loved the game. we were 14 at the time, so maybe it was that but i played the game for, like, 5 minutes, got 1 achievement, and i gave up. didnt like it and so it stuck to my gamertag

fast forward a whole bunch years, and i decided to force myself to finish it for completion's sake, and wow did i end up loving the game. it let me talk about the game with that same friend who introduced it to me (along with another one of our friends), so i would love to see a sequel!

Reddit-style karma point systems work awful for discussions related to games.

If you have an opinion that doesn't agree with what people BELIEVE is true, then it is never going to get heard.

Reddit game-related subs are full of so many mistruths it is ridiculous, and the stuff gets distorted even more each time.

Of course, trying to correct what a bunch of 14-year-olds believe on Reddit doesn't work out, because you end up being called a shill, no matter how much evidence you bring to the table.

Would make sense for Obsidian to do Fallout 5 since Bethesda themselves will almost certainly shift complete focus to Elder Scrolls 6 after Starfield. If not, it could be 10 years before Fallout 5 releases the way Bethesda has been going.

    Christ. I hope not.

More of the glitchfest that was well...every Obsidian game ever?

Then all the PR releases where they cry that they didn't get paid a bonus for making NV, despite not actually meeting the conditions to get that bonus.
New Vegas is a highly regarded entry in the series. While it was extremely buggy and still has lots of bugs left, the game itself is brilliant. 4 and 76 were huge let downs after 3 and NV. They were simply not given enough time to actually make a polished product. Their time frame from the beginning to the end was awfully short for a big open world game. A year more would've done wonders.

I most definitely wish Obsidian would be allowed to make a Fallout game and hopefully within the next 5 years since otherwose it's not looking good for the franchise.

I'd give you a reddit gold for this

Anyways, on topic, but once Microsoft picked up both of them I knew we'd get it eventually, and with the funding and other projects under their belts I have hope it'll be a good one

    I agree.

It would make business sense to give FO5 to Obsidian while they work on star field/ES6/ESO/FO76z

I'm pretty sure Bethesda already said they'd be working on FO5 after ES6.

I've enjoyed every Obsidian game I've played so far and I'd honestly expect them to do a better job than Bethesda themselves. Outer Worlds was way better than Fallout 4 in my opinion and that game in many ways feels like a spiritual successor to New Vegas.

I'm down for another New Vegas, as long as they don't do anything like Dead Money ever again 😂

I would trust Obsidian with a Fallout game more than Bethesda at this point, honestly. Fallout: New Vegas was far and away the best of the 3D Fallout games. Even taking into consideration the bugs and glitches in the game, it stands above 3 and 4 in atmosphere, storytelling, questlines, and so much more. If they have the proper funding and time to make it and aren't bound to a game engine held together with bandaids and spit, they can really make something good.
Agreed! The game played fine after the patches. They should be able to make a great Fallout when given enough time.

Did the people in this thread even play New Vegas? Lmfao.

FNV was easily the best fallout in the series, especially narratively. I'd happily see them make a new one. Obsidians problem with their own original IP's has often been the gameplay, having a solid foundation like they did with FNV and Bethesda open world design is a great combination.

That being said, I want them to make a sequel to Alpha Protocol more.
I‘m totally with you! Alpha Protocol is such a gem. We need a sequel!

I would argue the gameplay loop for 4 is better than New Vegas...I just wish 4 had the world building and actually interesting story like New Vegas. I'm hopeful 5 will do that but I am prepared for disappointment.

I was not expecting these comments
    Better writing than Fallout 4

Fallout New Vegas is a fantastic game, well deserved of a 10/10
The fact it hasn’t been remastered & released shows someone in management doesn’t want money
Obsidian could start development next year, and we’d still get 2 Fallout games from them before Bethesda releases Fallout 5

Imagine how far away in the future Fallout 5 is at this point when Starwhatever isn't out yet and TES6 is barely even started as a project. The world might as well burn in a Great War before we get FO5 at this rate.
