I’ve talked about this specifically with Harmonix ans RB4. They pave us 200G on a $30 expansion a year later that could have within the rules be 1k

They told me that to be fair tomPlayStsrion they screwed us. I replied that Sony’s deficiency’s are not our problem. I then suggested that they simply change the values. This I was told was impossible without patching the game

A few months later I spoke with someone on the Xbox OS team and asked if this was true, as it had been on the 360

The answer is absolutely not, it’s basically a spreadsheet and a phone call to get it injected because it’s all server side. 5 minutes

The SE team should get big credit for listening. Every developer should do this, ans MS needs to refuse to certify the uneven, or at least educate as to the backlash they bring.
What backlash? A few people on TA? So maybe 0.01% of all Xbox gamers?

    It's just a number...

Yes, but minorities (of opinion) hell the loudest

Here’s the thing, I want you to explain to me what the purpose of pissing off a not insignificant portion of dollars spent on Xbox over something no one asked for the opposite of. Banning numbers that aren’t 5 or 0 doesn’t make anyone mad, so why is it even an issue to enact the rule?

Just seems like a totally unnecessary thing to do, it's just a number. I know OCD can suck, I have issues with it myself.

Putting a limit on devs just because of maybe not even 0.01% of a total group's OCD doesn't seem like a good thing to me. Let devs make what achievements they want, I don't want them to be limited in any way.

Personally I'd say 0.01% is a pretty insignificant portion.

Ok, again, answer the question. Since achievement whores spend far more than your average customer, they are particularly important.

Again, the fix is easy and harms no one

If GS totals must end in a 5 or a 0, then we should divide them all by 5. (Or divide by 10 and have all scores be points or half-poinnts.) A number is pointless if there are no alternatives.

I am disappointed that they caved on their unique gamerscore totals (and for those OCD people, a completion is still 1000 points).

Do we? Again, TA as a whole, all of our members, are less then 1 percent of the entire Xbox customer base. I can't imagine even if a few of us spent hundreds, maybe even thousands that would surpass the rest of the Xbox community as a whole.

And I did answer the question, I don't want limits placed on what devs can do with their achievements, just to satisfy, maybe a few hundred or thousand people at the most. They should be able to make the games and achievements they want to make.

Banning numbers that don't end in 5 or 0, would be a limit.

    Yes, we definitely do

How many people do you think buy Ratalaika games to enjoy them? Sure a bunch of them are fun, but we buy for the G and enjoy later

Xbox consumers spend more on average than any other console, and I guarantee you the average spend here is exponentially larger than average.

There are plenty of games with uneven gamerscore. The Bridge has prime numbered achievements, UMK3, Summer Athletics, etc. Bullet Witch is my favorite... 999 for beating everything else, 1 for beating the hardest difficulty.

I don't see the issue. Completionists will get all the points anyway. Everyone else... well, oh well. Plenty of the AAA developers have DLC that doesn't even make sense. Fallout 4 comes to mind... 170 GS for Nuka-Cola?

But anyway, GS that is off... meh.

You have found the 2 developers that seem to make stuff solely for TA whales (note, not Xbox whales as they are more microtransaction oriented.) They are not representative of the average developers and they pump out literal crap on a weekly basis. Awesome comparison. If there's one thing I don't want, its crap like they shovel out.

Also, there was no obligation to release a 1,000G DLC as you seem to imply. We were robbed of nothing. I fail to understand why you feel we were owed more gamerscore on a DLC.

Actually based on their statements, they seem to sell The most on the Switch, which has no achievements system. We haven’t had a new game because they’re ducking Pokémon

Please explain to me why simply multiplying each achievement’s score by 4 is going to inconvenience them in the slightest.

You’re confusing entitlement issues with laziness and ignorance. Since the Additional effort required is incredibly small, there’s no reason

Again, please explain why doing what I’ve stated will hurt them, cost them money, or otherwise be functionally any different from what they’re already doing

This is a circular argument since the answer to your question is obviously nothing, which is exactly what you're owed by them.

Please explain to me why you can't be satisfied with the DLC you got? The new Age of Empires DLC packs are 75G each. Some games offer 10G expansions. Its life. You're hung up on this one game when most DLC packs are wacky values.

Because I didn’t have to pay $30 for them.

Your retreat to entitlement arguement eps show you’re just being an ass. Entitlement happens when people are demanding extra special treatment. Since this is functionally zero additional effort, it’s not. Deal with it. They also lied to me, which I really didn’t appreciate.

And no, I’m not “hung up on one game”

You see, when you make an arguement, you choose examples to illustrate your point.

I am absolutely stoked with SE coming to xbox. There are SO MANY amazing PC titles now on console and I can't wait for even more.

My gut feel is that Elite Dangerous opened a lot of doors for stuff like this... it launched with the most complex, well-made controller scheme of any game ever and showed that you could play more than just CoD or racing games (not that there's anything wrong with either of them).

I'll rebuy anything from PC that comes to xbox that I enjoyed. Frostpunk, They are Billions, Space Engineers, and more. Crossing my fingers for paradox to bring across more of the titles too (EUIV, HOI4) to accompany Stellaris.

I hate achievements that are not multiples of 5. It deters me from playing a game that I think I might not be able to 100% and hence end up with an "uneven" Gamerscore. Crazy I know, but that's just me.

...demanding more Gamerscore is demanding extra special treatment. roll

i remember when GS was nice and rounded when it came with DLC. It was almost always divisible by 250. I say almost because there were a few that were not. Still, most held to the 250.
