Nothing TC made was even remotely on the level of the original trilogy. Not sure how anyone could recommend 5 after the most recent Rod Fergusson interview. E-day has the potential to be great but TC have shown they cannot create a compelling story or characters. So we'll likely get another middling at best gears story that'll end up on PS as well.

Bsat way to play them is gow 1, then 2 , then 3. Then play something else.

I wish they could fix Judgment plus the other broken achievements in the series.

Have currently returned to Gears of War 5 to finish it. Will go for Gears Tactics next year and Gears of War 3 I'll return to at some point.

Judgement is actually one of my faves. Not sure why everyone seemed to hate it. I loved this series - the multiplayer and horde mode were amazing. Lined up for midnight releases. Read some of the books. But after playing 1-3 and Judgement I just entirely lost interest in the series. 4 and 5 completely failed to get their hooks in me and capture my imagination.

If you go onto Judgment with the mindset that you're playing a People Can Fly game and not a Gears game, it's actually really, really fun. If you go in expecting more of Gears trilogy, you're going to be disappointed.

That said, we can all agree Gears 4 was the worst by a Sera mile.

Xbox actually used to make games back then! 🤯Bungie, Epic, Lionhead, man it was just quality time and again, like clockwork. The sold 85M units.

If only they had Satya insights back then. He would have been saying exclusives will never shift hardware, "let's port everything to the Wii, there's no way we can compete with waggle, guys!" 🤣
