No doubt while they've got the licence, this franchise will be another yearly release from Ubisoft

Might be worth getting Ubisoft+ for a month for at least.

The game looks pretty and gameplay is alright but this is the worst (Farcry) game so far. Only like 6-7 weapons. Half of them work like poo. The gear system is really bad. Difficulty is extremely unbalanced. Story was very boring. The best part about it is the huge open world and taking down RDA outpost after the story ends.

    Just stating the obvious lol.
There's only been 2 films in 14 years. That original licence was for the 360 game.
Seeing as there's 2 more films releasing in the next couple of years, will definitely be seeing 2 more games.

If they've had the licence that long, been a waste and too busy with Assassin's Creed and Far Cry toast

No you’re being hyperbolic, this isn’t a direct movie tie in, they could’ve made several like this with original storylines , it ultimately up to Disney how many can be made. The next game this studio is doing no surprise Star Wars outlaws

Loved the first film but not so much the second. Plus I really like far cry so looking forward to getting round to this game.

You just complained about how they are going to make more titles with no evidence that that’s true. Then you complain that they haven’t made enough titles if they had the license this whole time. What are you even going on about

You have took everything out of context.
    Not complained once.
2 more film sequels in the next 2 years, so definitely 2 more games in the next 2 years, after the positive reception of this game.
Said it was a waste of licence. Not too fussed that they haven't made anymore games.

It all means you can take your foot off the pedal when it comes to the main story to enjoy what else there is to offer
Thanks for a great review. It does seem to me that the central plot is not a major selling feature. I get the impression it takes a back seat to exploration. I do like to explore open world games & can easily extend a 40 hour game into 400. But I also prefer games with a dramatically intense story, memorable characters—including a good bad-guy, and scintillating dialog.
Despite its occasional shortcomings, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is still a lot of fun to play.
I’m glad you brought it up. My chief criterion in judging a game is its fun factor.
