Xbox Game Studios: What's coming next from every first-party team?

You forgot Global Publishing. Which has Project Dragon, Belfry, Contraband, Ara History Untold, and Ark 2.
Not so much forgot as intentionally left it out at first as it felt weird to have one publisher amid a bunch of developers. Added an entry now with that caveat though, as it do think it helps if this article can have all of the big first-party-published games in one place. Ark 2 will be self-published, however, presumably a similar kinda deal to High on Life.

Also, time to cry realizing that Fallout 5 is at least 10+ years away. redface (assuming it is from Bethesda Games Studios)
Your comment made me realise I'd forgotten to mention Fallout, added it in now — yeah, Todd Howard said last year iirc that F5 would go into development when Elder Scrolls 6 is done, so that's gonna be a while!

Avowed, The Outer Worlds 2, State of Decay 3 and Starfield are the ones I'm looking forward to.

Compulsion is working on Project Midnight, a third person dark fantasy action adventure game set in the US south.
Source: Windows Central, there is concept art.

Double Fine is working on 2 games (at least). New IP. Smaller projects. 100% not Psychonauts or any DLC or any other reboot or sequel of any kind.
    Source: multiple Tim Schafer interviews.

Edit: Even suggesting that Double Fine is doing anything related to Psychonauts is setting people up for disappointment. They have clearly stated multiple times they're doing new IP. Possibly something from their famous game jams?

Edit 2: this is one interview where he states they will be doing new IP. https://youtu.be/ehUJrr28Bt4

I’m really hoping we get a gears tease or something this year. I know the game is far from being released but a tease would be nice.

Thanks, was never the intention to actively suggest we'd see more Psychonauts next so have reworded that bit accordingly, and completely forgot about the Midnight leak so have dropped a line about that in also.

Shinji Mikami from Tango Gameworks has said he wants to focus on smaller games moving forward, their next game is rumoured to be called 'Hi-fi Rush'.

Currently playing We Happy Few. I played Contrast - both X1 & 360 versions - & enjoyed it immensely. Looking forward to Compulsion’s next title.

Knew about the Hi-Fi Rush trademark filing by Zenimax from a few years back but haven't seen a credible source linking it to Tango. Gonna be keeping this updated moving forward so will update as and when new info comes to light.

It is a more credible source than the rumour about the Gears Collection, which you do list.
There are actually rumours from more credible sources that the Gears Collection isn't happening.

I think I am most looking forward to Hellblade II on this list. I really enjoyed the first game... Need to go back and get the one achievement I am missing.

The common thread here is that we either don't know what they're working on or how far along the announced projects are. The news of these acquisitions was so hype but now years later we're still kinda sorta waiting for results. Certain studios like Double Fine that launched their titles very close to post-acquisiton get a pass but the rest is just unfortunate when laid out in a list like this.
Shoutouts for the well structured article.

After reading this it kind of makes sense to me why they went and bought Activision/Blizzard too. A lot of old ip in this list and nothing that really excites me except for Starfield. And Fallout 5 so far away...
