Windows 8 Titles Achievements not unlocking

    Hello,

    I recently purchased a couple of window 8 titles, Cold Alley and Dragon's Lair, and earned a few achievements. However, while showing unlocked on game, they are not showing up on Gamerscore, and games still show 0 achievements unlocked on Xbox app. Any solutions?

    Yeah idk if the store shutdown fucked it up but I’m trying to do cut the rope, just bought the full version, and nothing unlocks. I launched a couple of them and none of them showed up, only Spartan Strike and Assault seem to work normally.

    Same here, None of my windows 8 achievements are syncing. Trying to work on some backlog win 8 games. Shows achievements unlocked in game, but not syncing to xbox, i dont even get a notification when the achievement pops, just shows unlocked in game when I select achievements:

    Tried on the following games.

    Hydro Thunder Hurricane (Windows) Achievements
    Reckless Racing Ultimate (Windows) Achievements

    4 Elements II: Special Edition (Windows) Achievements

    NONE OF WHICH HAS SYNCED TO MY PROFILE

    I BELIEVE WINDOWS 8 TITLES ARE BROKEN AT THIS TIME!!!

    Reckless Racing and 4 Elements synced but the others still havent...

    Yea apparently after the July 16 when Xbox services went down some windows 8 games stop working. I’m been waiting to start Adera because of this. A TA member recently made a support ticket to Microsoft about this. Hopefully everything gets back to working soon.

    4 Elements II worked for me as of September 20, 2024.

    Some Windows 8 games are working. That could be due to the fact that their XBOX connection parameters were unaffected by the July 2024 update to the XBOX Network service. Older games, however, are still affected. By extension, the Halo games for iOS are affected. I even saw some Windows Phone games affected (not WP achievements) in that I was able to log into them, but my profile picture was absent. That has since been fixed. But the achievement connections for some Windows 8 games are still affected. I will ask Support for an update on this as well as a hard end-date if one is actually in the works.

    It was not an update. It was the Crowdstrike outage. Brought many systems down across the world, and some legacy systems were never fixed.

    I am about to talk with them and find out if there are any plans to fix the systems. If not, I will request (over and over) for a public announcement be made about this.

    I'm having this issue with Adera. Achievements don't pop no matter how much I try, uninstall, reinstall the game... The "Achievements" tab inside the game deleted every achievement I have before.

    Genuinely terrible to see that all my Windows 8 games don't work now, I knew something was wrong when Fishdom 3 wasn't syncing last year even before August but this news is the nail in the coffin for me.

    At least I can finish Angry Birds Space and pack the tablet up then laugh
