Yea that was by far the most annoying part of the game. One thing to note is that the main veteran mission is
ALWAYS legendary ARMOR while the side missions only have a chance to be a secondary objective giving you legendary weapon mod. I think I hit 70 veteran missions before I finally unlocked the achievement.
Basically any duplicates/unnecessary weapon mods (you don't need any for Cole/heavy class) I would delete from the inventory. I think the game has a cap on how many legendary weapon mods it gives out because as soon as I started deleting them, I would actually side get missions that would give a legendary mod.

I am new to this genre so playing on Beginner albeit with ironman on to give that slight challenge and I still find myself making mistakes but scraping through due to the lower difficulty. Currently on Act 2 chapter 4 and am taking it slow.
Seeing you guys just rush through the game to get all achievements done in a matter of 3 days will have many wondering what kind of replay value this game has.
To be honest the game is really quite repetitive from the start, there's basically the 3 boss fights, and 4 types of missions; Rescue the 2 people, run from the bombardment, control the points and kill all enemies. I don't know how you can vary it though, that's just the genre. I've played a shit ton of XCOM and cRPG style of games so game wasn't too bad on insane.
