Avowed + Pirate Yakuza for me! Day one purchases.
Will play MHW at a later date when they release the first expansion.
Not interested in playing KCD2 since I still have KCD1 and I'm not even sure if I want to finish that one.

I have similar sentiments. I backed KCD 1 on kickstarter and played it for some time but I found it quite demanding. I appreciate the realism and had great time playing, but I'll also hold on the purchase of second game.

Playing the MH beta made me realize one thing...

The wirebugs were good fun and eliminated one of the more annoying aspects of the game.

Getting knocked around is not fun. Using the bugs to get out of knockbacks and knockdowns made the gameplay so much more enjoyable.

"Yeah Microsoft, it's all great and all, but you know always getting these games all the time, I just idk, maybe I wanna see what the other place has to offer"
"Other place? This is the other place. Muhahahahaha"

"FruitofPassion got every game ever wanted, and would have to live with it. Forever"
Notice: Thank you for noticing this notice. I have noticed your noticing and shall notify those of note.

Then we have a JRPG to clean the palette further, though I think we can safely say that action RPG might be the better descriptor for Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii.
This is a weird take. The brawler "Like a Dragon" games were all fairly light on RPG mechanics. 4 & 5 are the two titles where I could maybe see the ARPG label, between there being traditional levelling and said levels increasing your health and Heat gauge.

I don't really count Monster Hunter games as RPGs.

I also found myself completely bored with Western-style RPGs for like 20 years now. They're all so grim-dark. I can't even remember the last one I actually enjoyed... maybe Morrowind, but I definitely did not play that for the story but rather because I was able to enchant a shirt I named "Holy Crap, a Flying Cat!" which maxed my jump stat for 2 seconds and allowed me to jump 2/3 of the way across the island in a single leap (and then required me to sleep off the fall damage for like 4 days straight).

Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii, on the other hand, looks like a friggin blast.
MH has counted as a MH game since the start. Its a action RPG.

I will play Avowed soon, but not for day one, I am going to see whether it will be bugged or not. And Yakuza for sure when it gets on a decent sale, however I would prefer disc (that sadly isn't going to happen afaik).

No idea how some people have the time for these, let alone the time to play them for 200+ hours each and then complain online as if they didn't enjoy it. KCD2 alone is looking like a 300 hour completion.

That was me with Breath of the Wild. I wanted to make sure I wasn't missing out on something because people kept talking about how good it was, but I just got more and more annoyed with it until I completed the whole thing. The only thing I didn't complete 100% was the Korok seeds.

Then I played about 30 min of Tears of the Kingdom and then peaced right out.

Conversely, I just got Echoes of Wisdom over the holidays and loved the heck out of it.
