Console gaming and gaming culture as we know it are dominated by the Amercias and Europe. Roughly 70% of console sales come from those regions (and if you want to talk Xbox specifically, we're looking at somewhere between 80-85%). We all know white dudes in those regions buy games and that we (I am part of that group) are the most vocal online of the groups that buy them. But there is a large group of minorities that do buy and play games there however because white dudes are so loud online they often drown out other points of view and in some cases just discourage others from joining the discussions. A statement like this is just asking for white dudes to sit down for a minute so we can see some other hands in the crowd.
I think the error that she made (or more likley the error Microsoft PR made) with that situation after it went viral was deleting it and then apologizing.
If you are taking offense to something as innocuous as a request for white dudes to just hold their voices this one time, you are looking to be outraged (and the site you linked is just vessel to deliver that outrage).
As someone who spent a good portion of their teens, 20s, and early 30s as an angry white guy, I recommend trying to not be angry at everything. No one is out to get you. No one is trying to replace you. The majority of games are still made by people like you, for people like you. And if you stop letting places like that rage bait headquarters rile you up, it'll do wonders for your personal health and relationships and it comes with the added bonus that you'll probably, actually enjoy things again.
