Since the Pipo Monkeys are a crossover from the Sony-owned Ape Escape franchise, it's likely the company doesn't want its characters appearing on Xbox. Instead, Konami will be adding one of its own characters in the Xbox version: Bomberman, although we're yet to learn if it'll be the same minigame or a different one entirely."The remake maintains what players loved from the original, like the story, characters, voice acting, gameplay, and music, but presented now in an even more immersive experience," the trailer's description reads. "The special game 'Snake vs Monkey' to capture the Pipo Monkeys is back for PS5 and Steam! A different special game will be implemented for the Xbox version! Please wait for further details."Snake vs Monkey was an Ape Escape crossover minigame featured in the original Metal Gear Solid 3 and sees Snake embark on a mission to capture a group of monkeys making trouble in the jungle. Dressed in banana camouflage, players had to help Snake capture the monkeys across several stages and were rewarded with items to use in the main campaign. If you missed last night's show, check out our round-up of all the State of Play Xbox announcements — which included two fresh Xbox Game Pass reveals. There's no doubt that Konami is teasing Bomberman at the end of that new trailer, so it'll be interesting to see how the explosive little fellow fits into Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater when it launches on Xbox Series X|S on August 28.
